Yes, anyone who is eligible to apply (see our eligibility requirements here) may do so.  But only one person per household can be selected to appear on the show.

We will notify contestants by February 7, 2024 via email and/or phone.

Contestants are responsible for travel to and from Illinois and our shooting location. 

Contestants are welcome to stay where they like, but Production requests that Contestant is no further than 20 miles from the shooting location.  If Contestant is selected as a potential finalist to compete in the season finale being recorded on Friday March 15, 2024, (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) Production will cover accommodations for Contestant between the Contestant’s original episode recording date and Saturday March 16, 2024 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE).  Accommodations provided by Production will be at the hotel of Production’s choosing.

Winner’s travel period must coincide with either the 2024 or 2025 Halloween Horror Nights event dates in order to partake in the Halloween Horror Nights portion of the Prize. 2024 and 2025 event dates are currently to be determined.  Winner may choose to travel at another time (with Universal approval) provided such travel must be completed by November 10, 2025, and with the understanding that in doing so, Winner will forfeit the Halloween Horror Nights element of the Prize. If the Winner is unable to complete travel within the above travel period, the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and no further or alternative compensation will be provided. Travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates are subject to Universal and Sponsor approval. Reservations are subject to availability. Trip must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to intended departure date. If Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of his/her Prize with fewer than the allotted number of Guests or no Guests, the Prize will be awarded to Winner and each participating Guest and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption. If Winner is between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21), he/she must be accompanied by an adult of at least twenty-one (21) years of age in order to check into the hotel.Unless child or ward of Winner or one of the allotted Guests, each Guest must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the Winner.

Make sure your photo and/or video are the correct file format and within the size specifications.  A cell phone should be able to create a properly sized photo and video for you.  If your video is still too large, there are plenty of free online video compression tools you can use to shrink the size of your video file.

To prevent any disorganization, we are only accepting submission video files through the application upload.
